Mort McMillen, PE, Chief Engineer

Mort brings more than 22 years of experience in hydraulics, water resources, fisheries engineering, hydroelectric facilities, water/wastewater facilities, construction management, and transportation engineering. Mort began his career working as a hydraulic engineer for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Walla Walla District, where he was responsible for hydraulic analysis and design of open channel and pressure flow systems for flood control, hatchery, and major conveyance projects. From there Mort continued on and obtained a Masters in Civil Engineering at Stanford University. He has worked at two national engineering firms which broadened his project experience to large multi-discipline projects including: water and wastewater treatment plants, sanitary sewer lines and force mains, water transmission pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, fish screens and barriers, fish hatcheries, dams and spillways, dikes, and transportation facilities, and have often included major environmental analysis for ESA listed species. Mort has proven expertise in managing multi-discipline design teams in the planning, design, and construction of complex projects. Mort is a founder and chief engineer of McMillen, LLC.
