Design-Build Project

McMillen was recently awarded the USACE, Walla Walla District, Paradise Creek Design-Build Ecosystem Restoration Project. The purpose of the project is to design and construct a sustainable ecosystem restoration project for identified sections of Paradise Creek. The ecosystem restoration project is being accomplished through a partnership with the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, and includes three main elements. For Reach One McMillen will design and construct the channel reshaping and revegetation in the upstream section. Reach Two (middle) requires the construction of approximately 1,400 ft of new channel (relocate the channel) that would tie back into the existing channel; and Reach Three requires channel reshaping and revegetation in the downstream section. McMillen will provide the design and construction from design through execution. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
